Types Of GSM Mobile phones according to Operating System

TYPES OF GSM MOBILE PHONES ACCORDING TO OPERATING SYSTEM
An operating system (OS) is a set of programs that manage computer hardware resources and provide common services for application software.
An operating system is some what comparable to the foundation of a house - the type of foundation you build will determine the pattern of house you erect. For example, .sis files run on Symbian operating system and cannot run on Android. Non - self  booting applications cannot run on a device without an operating system. Major operating systems used on mobile phones include Symbian, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone, iOS, Meego, Maemo, Bada, Series 30, Series 40, Palm OS, and so forth.
Of note: I have noticed some people saying, "Java phone," referring to the operating system of the phone. For the avoidance of confusion, as an operating system, there is nothing like Java phone.
Java is a programming language, not an operating system. A programming language such as Java may be used to build an operating system. For example, Google uses Java as a key pillar in the creation of the Android operating system. Even Symbian could be built using the Java language. Any mobile phone that supports Java MIDlets (.jar/.jad files) is Java-compliant. BlackBerry, Bada, Symbian, Android, Series 40, etc. are Java-compliant. Nokia Lumia 710, which runs on Windows Phone operating system, and Nokia N9, which is powered by Meego, do not support Java. iOS-powered phones are equally not Java-compliant.

They include Nokia N8, Nokia E7-00, Nokia N97 Mini, Nokia C6-00, Nokia X7-00, Nokia 6760, Nokia C7-00, etc. Non - Nokia  Symbian phones include Sendo X, Panasonic X800, Samsung SGH-i450, i560, etc.  BlackBerry: The operating system of nearly all BlackBerry phones is also known as BlackBerry.
